Sesame Glazed Salmon

Sesame Glazed Salmon

This air-fried sesame glazed salmon delivers sticky-savoury flavour with very little effort. The salmon cooks in minutes while the soy, honey, garlic and sesame glaze caramelises into a glossy finish.

Serve with steamed rice and greens for an easy weeknight plate. It's fast enough for busy evenings but still feels like a proper, satisfying dinner.

Method

30m40m
  1. Prepare two small sheets of foil by lightly greasing with sunflower oil. Place a salmon fillet, skin-side down, on each sheet. Fold the edges of the foil upward to create a rim, forming a small bowl.
  2. Place the foil bowls containing the salmon fillets onto the crisper plate of your air fryer, ensuring there's space between them for air circulation.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the honey, sesame oil, soy sauce, crushed garlic clove, ground ginger, and chilli flakes (if using) to form a glaze. Drizzle this glaze evenly over each salmon fillet, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  4. Cook the salmon at 190C for 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the thickly sliced spring onions on top of the salmon and continue to cook for an additional minute, or until the salmon is fully cooked.
  6. Remove from the air fryer and let sit for 2 minutes before serving.
  7. Plate the salmon with freshly cooked rice and your choice of broccoli or stir-fried vegetables. Drizzle any remaining glaze collected in the foil bowls over the served dishes. Enjoy.
