Air Fryer Glazed Salmon Fillets

These air fryer glazed salmon fillets are quick enough for a weeknight but still feel special. The sticky soy, honey and ginger glaze caramelises gently while the salmon stays tender and flaky.

Serve with rice and green vegetables for an easy balanced dinner, and spoon over the pan juices for extra flavour.

Method

10m10m20m
  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and place skin-side down on lightly oiled foil or parchment liners that fit your air fryer basket.
  2. In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated garlic, grated ginger and chilli flakes to make the glaze.
  3. Brush half of the glaze over the salmon and air fry at 190°C for 6 minutes.
  4. Open the basket, brush with the remaining glaze, then cook for 2-4 minutes more until the salmon flakes easily and is cooked through.
  5. Rest for 2 minutes, then top with spring onions and sesame seeds.
  6. Serve hot with cooked rice and steamed or stir-fried broccoli, spooning over any juices from the liner.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds for finishing
  • Rice cooked, to serve
  • Broccoli steamed or stir-fried, to serve
  • 2 Spring onions finely sliced
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce low-salt preferred
  • 2 fillets (about 120-150g each) Salmon skin on
  • 1 clove Garlic finely grated
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Chilli Flakes optional
  • 1 tsp Ginger finely grated
  • 1 tbsp Honey

Notes

Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches 63°C in the thickest part.
If your fillets are thicker than average, add 1 to 2 extra minutes of cooking time.
For less sweetness, reduce the honey to 2 teaspoons and add a little extra rice vinegar.
