Slow Cooker Bloody Mary Beef Bites

Slow Cooker Bloody Mary Beef Bites

Slow Cooker
serves 8

These tender beef bites use bottled Bloody Mary mix as a shortcut to a savoury tomato sauce with a gentle kick. Sliced onion softens around the beef as it cooks low and slow.

Serve with cocktail sticks for a party snack, or spoon the beef over mashed potato, noodles or rice for a relaxed dinner.

  1. Put the thawed beef into the slow cooker and spread it into an even layer.

  2. Scatter the sliced onion over the beef, then pour over the Worcestershire sauce and Bloody Mary mix.

  3. Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until the beef is tender and cooked through.

  4. Stir the beef through the sauce. If the sauce is thinner than you would like, leave the lid slightly ajar for the final 20 minutes.

  5. Taste and season with black pepper, adding a little extra Bloody Mary mix if needed.

  6. Serve hot with cocktail sticks, or spoon over mash, noodles or rice.
