Ingredients
- 120 g Unsalted butter cold and cubed
- 80 g Light brown sugar
- 80 g Walnuts roughly chopped
- 100 g Porridge Oats
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 900 g Bramley Apples peeled and sliced
- 120 g Plain Flour

- Heat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan). Toss the apples with lemon juice, half the sugar and cinnamon, then spread in a buttered baking dish.
- Rub the flour, oats and butter together until crumbly, then stir in the remaining sugar and walnuts.
- Scatter the topping over the apples in an even layer without pressing it down.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbling around the edges.
- Rest for 10 minutes before serving warm with custard, cream or vanilla ice cream.
