Banana Custard Tiramisu

Banana Custard Tiramisu

No-cook
serves 4

This easy banana tiramisu layers milk-dipped ladyfingers with vanilla custard, ripe banana and softly whipped cream. It is a gentler, fruitier take on the classic Italian dessert.

Chill the assembled dish until the biscuits are tender and the layers hold together, then finish with cocoa and fresh mint.

  1. Whisk the cooled vanilla custard until smooth, then fold in half of the whipped cream.

  2. Dip the ladyfingers briefly in the milk and arrange them in a single layer in a shallow serving dish.

  3. Spread over half the custard mixture, then add half the sliced bananas. Repeat with the remaining ladyfingers, custard and bananas.

  4. Spoon the remaining whipped cream over the top and smooth it gently.

  5. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours so the biscuits soften and the layers set.

  6. Dust with cocoa powder and scatter over the mint leaves just before serving.
