Buttery Apple Pudding
A classic British apple pudding with softly spiced fruit, buttery bread and a crisp golden top.
These playful apple parcels use strips of pastry to create a crisp, golden finish in the air fryer. They are quick to assemble and best served warm.
Peel and dice the apples, then toss them with the sugar and cinnamon until evenly coated.
Lay the pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into thin strips. Wrap the apple pieces with the strips, leaving small gaps so the filling can be seen.
Brush the pastry lightly with beaten egg and place the parcels in the air-fryer basket in a single layer.
Air-fry at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, turning once, until the pastry is puffed and deep golden and the apples are tender.
Rest for a few minutes, then serve warm.
