Hotdog Tomato One-Pot Pasta

Hotdog Tomato One-Pot Pasta is a practical, flavour-forward recipe designed for home kitchens. The method keeps prep straightforward while building depth through proper seasoning, controlled heat, and sensible cooking order.

  1. Add pasta, chopped tomatoes, hotdog slices, oregano, sugar, and water (or stock) to a large pot.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a steady simmer.
  3. Cook for 12 to 16 minutes, stirring often, until pasta is tender and the liquid reduces into a tomato sauce.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Lower the heat and stir through most of the grated cheddar until melted and glossy.
  6. Top with the remaining cheddar and serve hot.

Ingredients

  • 400 g Tomato chopped
  • 700 ml Water or light stock
  • 100 g Cheddar Cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Oregano dried
  • Black Pepper freshly ground, to taste
  • 250 g Hotdog Sausage sliced into coins
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 300 g Pasta penne, fusilli, or similar

Notes

Stir regularly after the first 8 minutes so the pasta does not catch at the bottom.

Add extra hot water in small splashes if the pan dries before the pasta is cooked.

For a looser, saucier finish, stir in 2–3 tablespoons water just before serving.
