Recipe
Cod & Prawn Bake
A creamy cod and prawn bake with sweetcorn, parsley and a crisp cheesy potato topping.
These air-fryer gammon steaks come out juicy and lightly caramelised, while the fries turn crisp with very little oil. It's a straightforward midweek dinner that feels like a proper takeaway-style plate.
Finishing the hot fries with garlic, Parmesan and parsley adds loads of flavour without extra fuss. Serve straight away while the fries are crisp and the gammon is still sizzling.
Pat the gammon steaks dry. In a bowl, toss the fries with 1 tbsp olive oil, a pinch of salt and half the black pepper.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C for 3 minutes. Spread the fries in the basket in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).
Air-fry the fries for 16–20 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crisp.
Meanwhile, rub the gammon steaks with the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and black pepper.
Cook the gammon in the air fryer at 190°C for 8–10 minutes, turning once halfway, until lightly caramelised and cooked through.
Mix the garlic, Parmesan and parsley. Toss the hot fries with the garlic-Parmesan mix and serve alongside the gammon steaks.
