Air-Fried Crispy Chicken Strips with Honey Mustard Dip

Air-Fried Crispy Chicken Strips with Honey Mustard Dip

Air Fryer
serves 4
These air-fried chicken strips are coated in seasoned breadcrumbs so they come out crisp on the outside while staying juicy in the middle. A little oil spray is all you need to get a deep golden finish without deep-frying. The honey mustard dip is creamy, sweet and tangy, and it comes together in minutes while the chicken cooks. Serve with fries, salad, or wraps for a family-friendly midweek meal.

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C. Set up three bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Pat the chicken strips dry. Coat each strip first in flour, then egg, then the seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing lightly so the coating sticks.

  3. Lightly spray the coated chicken strips with olive oil spray on both sides.

  4. Place the chicken strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving small gaps between pieces.

  5. Air fry for 10-12 minutes at 200°C, turning halfway through, until crisp, golden, and cooked through to 75°C.

  6. While the chicken cooks, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, and lemon juice in a bowl until smooth.

  7. Taste the dip and adjust with a little more honey for sweetness or mustard for extra tang.

  8. Serve the hot chicken strips with the honey mustard dip.
