Savoury Ham & Cheese Omelette
This savoury ham and cheese omelette is rich, fluffy and packed with simple ingredients that cook in minutes.
With melted cheddar, sweet tomato and chopped parsley, it is an easy go-to meal any time of day.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Flat-leaf Parsley finely chopped
- 1 small Tomato finely diced
- 4 Eggs large
- 2 tbsp Milk
- Black Pepper freshly ground, to taste
- 15g Unsalted butter
- 60g Cheddar grated
- Sea Salt, to taste
- 80g Cooked Ham diced

- Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the milk, salt and black pepper, then whisk until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat and melt the butter.
- Pour in the egg mixture and let it set for 20–30 seconds.
- Using a spatula, gently pull the cooked edges towards the centre so uncooked egg can flow underneath.
- When the omelette is mostly set but still slightly soft on top, scatter over the ham, cheddar, tomato and most of the parsley.
- Fold one side over the filling and cook for 30–60 seconds until the cheese starts to melt.
- Slide onto a warm plate, sprinkle with the remaining parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Whisk the eggs thoroughly so the omelette cooks evenly and stays tender.
Cook over medium heat to avoid browning before the centre is set.
Serve with a green salad, toast or sautéed potatoes for a fuller meal.
