Cheesy Garlic Bread Spaghetti Pie

Cheesy Garlic Bread Spaghetti Pie

This is pure comfort: cooked spaghetti tossed in a rich tomato sauce, baked into a sliceable “pie” with loads of mozzarella and parmesan.

The twist is the garlic bread crust — baguette slices brushed with herby garlic butter and baked until crisp and golden.

Method

15m25m45m
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Mix cooked spaghetti with a tomato-based pasta sauce and some cooked ground meat if desired.
  3. Transfer the spaghetti mix to a pie dish.
  4. Mix soft butter with crushed garlic, herbs, and salt, and spread over slices of baguette.
  5. Arrange the buttered bread around the edge of the pie dish, butter side up, to form a crust.
  6. Generously sprinkle grated cheese over the spaghetti and place a few cheese slices on the bread.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

Ingredients

  • 400g Tomato pasta sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 15ml Fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 300g Spaghetti cooked and drained
  • 200g Mozzarella grated or torn
  • Salt, to taste
  • 200g Beef Mince browned (optional)
  • 1 Baguette cut into slices
  • 5ml Dried oregano
  • 30g Parmesan finely grated
  • 60g Butter softened
  • Black Pepper, to taste

Notes

Feel free to add vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers to the spaghetti mix for a more nutritious twist.

If you're vegetarian, omit the ground meat or substitute with a plant-based alternative.
