Cheese & Onion Pasties
A classic British favourite, these cheese and onion pasties are packed with a deliciously savoury filling encased in golden, flaky pastry.
Ingredients
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 15ml Butter
- 1 Egg beaten

- Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan)/Gas Mark 6.
- Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat, then add the chopped onion. Cook until soft and translucent.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked onions, grated cheese, mashed potato, mustard, and seasoning.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into four equal circles.
- Divide the filling between the pastry circles, leaving a small border.
- Fold each circle in half and press the edges together with a fork to seal.
- Brush with beaten egg and place on a lined baking tray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving
