Baked Salmon with Cream Cheese & Parmesan Crust

Salmon fillets are spread with a bright lemon and garlic cream cheese topping, then finished with Parmesan and breadcrumbs for a crisp, savoury crust.

The fish stays tender as it bakes, while parsley and smoked paprika add freshness and gentle warmth. Serve with green vegetables or a simple salad.

  1. Heat the oven to 200°C, 180°C fan, or gas mark 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Pat the salmon dry, season with salt and pepper, and arrange the fillets on the tray.

  3. Mix the cream cheese with the grated garlic, lemon zest and half the parsley. Spread it over the top of each fillet.

  4. Combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, smoked paprika and remaining parsley, then press the mixture over the cream cheese.

  5. Bake for 15 minutes, until the salmon is opaque in the centre and the topping is golden. Finish with extra parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
