Chicken Skewers with Guasacaca
These Chicken Skewers paired with Guasacaca, a vibrant Venezuelan avocado-based sauce, offer a perfect balance of smoky and fresh flavours. The chicken is marinated in a blend of lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, and spices, then grilled to perfection.
The Guasacaca sauce, made with avocados, herbs, and a tang of lime, complements the chicken beautifully, adding a creamy texture and a burst of freshness. This dish is ideal for outdoor gatherings or a family BBQ.

- Combine chicken, lime juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and spices in a bowl. Ensure chicken is evenly coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto soaked bamboo skewers. Grill over high heat for about 5-6 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
- For the Guasacaca, blend avocados, red onion, jalapenos, lime juice, green pepper, garlic, cilantro, parsley, red wine vinegar, and olive oil until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the grilled chicken skewers with a side of Guasacaca sauce.
Notes
Marinating the chicken for longer will enhance the flavours. If barbecuing isn't an option, these skewers can also be cooked under a grill.
