Cheesy Southern Fried Chicken Pasta Bake
A comforting and indulgent pasta bake featuring crispy fried chicken, gooey cheese, and a rich tomato sauce. Perfect for a budget-friendly dinner party or a family meal inspired by American Southern cuisine.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 150g Cheese grated
- 1 Onion chopped
- Chicken, to taste
- Salt pepper, and paprika to taste
- Pasta, to taste
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 300g Pasta

- Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and paprika, then fry until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pan, sauté until softened. Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- In a large baking dish, layer half of the cooked pasta, followed by half of the tomato sauce mixture and half of the fried chicken. Repeat the layers, finishing with a generous sprinkle of grated cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy the cheesy goodness!
Notes
This pasta bake can be customized with additional vegetables like spinach or mushrooms. Feel free to add a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch.
